Hello Friends.

Here are 1 new announcement and 4 old announcements.

Announcement 1: English Oldies Sing Along

This will be on Saturday, 21st August, 2.00 pm at the Elderly Blind Center. The fee is RM1.00 only. Please contact Ms. Violet Kok at tel. 03 2274 2576.

Announcement 2: Awards for 5 Active Braille Readers 2010

These awards will be presented in December to library users who are members and have an active borrowing record of braille books. Send the synopsis of the books either English or BM in 100 – 200 words to the MAB Library before 1st December 2010. For more information, please contact Pn. Maswirda at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 161.

Announcement 3: ICT Quiz, Exhibition and Symposium

These 3 programs will be held on Saturday, 7th August at the MAB Hall from 8.30 am – 3.30 pm. There will be a demo of ICT equipment including the latest Apple screen-reader. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Please register with Pn. Rosnah Ahmad at tel. 012 333 6742 by 4th August.

Announcement 4: Eye Donation Campaign With Lunch and Hampers for the Blind

This will be on Sunday, 8th August at the Buddhist Bihara, Brickfields. All blind persons are invited to attend. There will be a lucky draw with handphone as first prize. The bus will be leaving from Kompleks MAB at 10.00 am. Please register with Mr. Subra at tel. 03 2272 2677.

Announcement 5: Welcoming the Month of Ramadhan Al-Mubarak by Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat

This will be on Sunday, 8th August from 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm at the MAB Cafeteria. All blind Muslims and families are invited. Please contact the office at tel. 03 9221 1440.

Announcement 6: English Braille Book

Here are 5 new English braille books in the MAB Library. The titles are:-

  1. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling.
  2. The Smugglers Caves and Other Stories by Enid Blyton.
  3. Theodore Boone by John Grisham.
  4. The Day Trip by William Murray.
  5. The Dream by William Murray.
