Hello Friends.
Here are 7 new announcements.
Announcement 1: ICT Quiz, Exhibition and Symposium
These 3 programs will be held on Saturday, 7th August at the MAB Hall from 8.30 am – 3.30 pm. For the quiz, all the blind can take part but non-members of the Cyber Club must pay RM5.00. To participate, send your email to ict@mab.org.my for the questions. Your answers must be returned by 31st July and the 5 best scorers will be selected for the finals on 7th August.
Regarding the symposium, there will be a demo of ICT equipment including the latest Apple screen-reader. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Please register with Pn. Rosnah Ahmad at tel. 012 333 6742 by 4th August.
Announcement 2: Harmonica Workshop Update
Due to very poor response, the workshop has been cancelled. However, a new date is under consideration.
Announcement 3: Eye Donation Campaign With Lunch and Hampers for the Blind
This will be on Sunday, 8th August at the Buddhist Bihara, Brickfields. All blind persons are invited to attend. There will be a lucky draw with handphone as first prize. The bus will be leaving from Kompleks MAB at 10.00 am. Please register with Mr. Subra at tel. 03 2272 2677.
Announcement 4: Equipment Sales
Reflexology gloves are available at RM5.00 for 100 pieces and reflexology cream at RM17.00 per kilo. Please contact Ms. Rani at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 154.
Announcement 5: Welcoming the Month of Ramadhan Al-Mubarak by Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat
This will be on Sunday, 8th August from 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm at the MAB Cafeteria. All blind Muslims and families are invited. Please contact the office at tel. 03 9221 1440.
Announcement 6: Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification Program for the Blind
This program will be held at Darul Quran, Kuala Kubu Baru in December 2010. It is open to SPM school leavers who are below 30 years of age. For further information, please contact Ustazah Nazariah at tel. 017 773 5518.
Announcement 7: Audio Book Recommendation – The Mind of God by Paul Davies
This book explains in simple language concerning about the universe like why does it exist, where do the laws of nature come from and did God create them? The writer’s conclusion is that the universe is no accident and must have been originated by a being we call God. To borrow this book, please contact Pn. Zuraidah at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 150.
