Hello Friends.
Here are 5 new announcements and 3 old announcements.
Announcement 1: Population Census Survey 2010
This survey is conducted by the government every 10 years. This year survey will be carried out all over Malaysia from 6 July – 22 August. The objective is to obtain statistics regarding the living conditions of the population. So, please give your kind cooperation to the government official when he or she comes knocking at your door.
Announcement 2: Line Dancing
The next line dancing will be on Thursday, 15th July, 8.00 pm at the MAB Hall. Those interested, please contact Ms. Anna Loo at tel. 013 360 6088.
Announcement 3: Photography Hobby for The Blind
The next session will be on Saturday, 17th July at 9.00 am. You will be happy to know that Bursa Malaysia has donated 10 cameras and 1 special camera for the project. Participants are to meet at the MAB reception counter. Please contact Mr. Albert Kong at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 178.
Announcement 4: Elderly Blind Trip to Cameron Highlands Update
This will be from 19 – 20 July (Monday – Tuesday). There are still 3 places for the blind and 7 places for volunteers. The fee is RM100 for members and volunteers and RM130.00 for non-members. Please register with Ms. Rani at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 154.
Announcement 5: Elderly Blind Gathering Update
The next elderly blind gathering will be on Saturday, 24th July, 10.30 am at the MAB Hall. The talk will be on sugar and health presented by Mr. Anversah. Our blind friend from Sri Lanka, Mr. Madimaran has kindly agreed to perform on the Indian flute accompanied by tabela. Preceding the gathering will be lotto at the canteen or dominoes at the Elderly Blind Center. The fee is RM4.00 for members and RM5.00 for non-members. Announcement 6: KRM Talentime 2010
This will be on Saturday, 7th August, 8.00 pm at the MAB Hall. The preliminary round will be held on 17th July at the Music Room of MAB. The fee is RM10.00 for members and RM15.00 for non-members. For more information and registration, please contact En. Anuar Bidin at tel. 016 379 8659.
Announcement 7: Harmonica Workshop
MAB in collaboration with Malaysian Council for Rehabilitation will be holding a harmonica workshop for the disabled on Friday, 30th July, 3.00 pm at the MAB Hall. The aim of the workshop is to introduce the harmonica as a means of holistic approach to life by helping to develop the mind and body through concentration and breathing techniques. Announcement 8: Paralympics Carnival DBKL – KL Open 2010
DBKL in collaboration with Majlis Paralimpik Malaysia will be holding this carnival from 23 – 25 July in Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. Sports for the blind will include goalball, ten pin bowling, athletic, swimming and tandem riding. Please register with En. Fairuz at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 136.
