Hello Friends.
Here are 5 new announcements and 2 old announcements.
Announcement 1: MAB Closing On 29th June
MAB will be closed on Tuesday, 29th June as most of the staff will be involved in the Values Consolidation course from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm. However, the telephone operators will still be in service at the reception. MAB apologises for the inconvenience caused.
Announcement 2: Police Dialogue Update
According to the police, if they cannot remove obstacles such as lamp post and signboards, they will write to relevant authorities such as DBKL to relocate the objects. They will also impose fines on vehicles which park in the wrong place.
Announcement 3: Basket Weaving Competition for the Blind
This will be held on Tuesday, 5th October from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm at Taman Harapan. The objective is to select participants for the national level basket weaving competition which is one of the events of the 4th National Abilympics. The national basket weaving champion will be selected to take part in the International Abilympics in South Korea next year. Announcement 4: Festive Hampers for the Blind
The application forms are now available at the MAB reception counter. Please contact Mr. Subra or Cik Nurhidayah at tel. 03 2272 2677. Closing date is 15th July.
Announcement 5: Equipment Sale
The latest item available is the heart shape key chain clock which uses two 3A batteries. The price is RM16.00 only. Please contact Ms. Rani at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 154.
Announcement 6: Elderly Blind Trip to Cameron Highlands
This will be from 19 – 20 July (Monday – Tuesday). Registration fee is RM100.00 for members and volunteers and RM130.00 for non-members. Program include visit to the Mardi fruit station, tea plantation, strawberry farm, rose garden, honey bee farm, pasar malam plus one sponsored lunch. Accommodation will be at Hotel Jasmine. Announcement 7: Brickfields Carnival for the Disabled by Rukun Tetangga in Conjunction with Merdeka Day
This will be on Sunday, 1st August from 9.00 am – 3.00 pm at Kompleks MAB. It will include an exhibition by government agencies such as the police, free health examination, color contest and fashion show for children, chess and futsal competition and a merdeka quiz.
