Hello friends.
Here are 4 new announcements and 2 old announcements.
Announcement 1: English Lessons for Blind Individuals
The Job Placement Unit will be holding English lessons every Saturday from 8.30 am – 10.00 am. The volunteer teacher is Ms. Delecia who is proficient in English and Malay. The first lesson will begin this Saturday, 6th March 2010. Those interested, please contact Ms. Jacqueline at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 175.
Announcement 2: Library and ICT Open During Lunch Hour
From 1st March onwards, the Library and ICT Center will be operating during normal hours 8.30 am – 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday and 8.30 am – 1.00 pm for the alternative Saturdays. However, they will also be open during lunch hour from Monday to Friday.
Announcement 3: MAB Achieves ISO Certification
MAB was officially honored with the ISO 2001-9008 certification last Thursday, 25th February 2010. The occasion was graced by the Secretary General from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. MAB is the first organization serving the disabled to be conferred with ISO accreditation nationally and internationally.
Announcement 4: Farewell to Rosnah Alimuda
Pn. Rosnah Alimuda retired from MAB on 25th February 2010. She had served as ABC teacher and coordinator for about 10 years since 1999. She will be remembered for her important contributions in developing the ABC programs in Brickfields, Klang and Kota Bharu and in establishing the first PDK program for the blind. We take this opportunity to wish her god blessings with a happy and pleasant retirement.
Announcement 5: English Oldies Sing Along
The second oldies sing along session will be on Saturday, 6th March 2010 from 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm at the Elderly Blind Center. The registration fee is RM1.00 only. Kindly register with Mdm. Violet Kok at tel. 03 2274 2576.
Announcement 6: MAB Cyber Club AGM
This will be on Saturday, 13th March 2010 at the MAB Hall from 9.00 am – 10.30 am followed by exhibition of the Apple 3GS handphone from Maxis at 11.00 am and the intelligent cane at 2.00 pm. Food will be provided. When you register, please settle your annual membership fee of RM12.00. Please register with En. Fazlin at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 145.
Announcement 7: BM Audio Book
Here are 5 new BM audio books in the MAB Library. The titles are:-
- Himpunan Solat-Solat Sunat by Kamaluddin Mahmud.
- Dosa-Dosa Yang Menutup Pintu Hati by Yusof Al-Badi.
- Duka Israel by Sri Diah.
- Tebing Tinggi by Nikom Rayawa.
- Airmata Muhibbah by Mohd Ghazali Tocheh.
