Hello friends.

We apologised for the change in the announcement during middle of the week due to urgency.

Here are 4 announcements.

Announcement 1: Traditional and Complimentary Medicine

The Ministry of Health will be giving a briefing regarding the guidelines on licensing and registration of traditional and complimentary medicine. This will be at the MAB Hall on Tuesday, 9th February 2010 from 9.00 am – 12.00 noon. As massage is regarded as traditional medicine, all blind masseurs are invited to the talk. Please register with Pn. Jamilah at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 173.

Announcement 2: Blood Donation Campaign by KL Star Rail Sdn. Bhd

This will be on Monday, 8th February 2010 starting 11.00 am at the Hang Tuah monorail station. Free monorail tickets will be given by Star Rail to those who donate blood for that day. If you wish to join the campaign by donating your blood, please contact Pn. Nurfarah Jori at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 121.

Announcement 3: Book Recommendation – Caesar and Christ: Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

Besides an interesting account concerning the birth and decline of the Roman Empire after surviving for at least 14 centuries from 800 B.C. to 1450 A.D., we get an illuminating look at Roman society and how the people lived, how Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony and the other emperors fought and ruled, the miraculous life of Jesus Christ and how Christianity came about.

Announcement 4: English Braille Book

Here are 5 new english braille books in the MAB Library. The titles are:-

  1. The Double Vision by Northrop Frye.
  2. Safe in the Sun by Mary-Ellen Siegel.
  3. Disney’s Aladdin by A.L. Singer.
  4. Here There Be Dragons by Jane Yolen.
  5. The Scarlet City by Hella S. Haasse.
