Hello friends.
Here are 6 new announcements and 1 old announcement.
Announcement 1: Briefing by Ministry of Health
Blind massage enterprise owners are invited to attend a briefing by the Ministry of Health (traditional and complimentary medicine). This will be on Tuesday, 9th February 2010, 10.00 am at the MAB Hall. You will be able to register on line on that day. For further information, please contact Pn. Announcement 2: Best Blind Student Awards 2008
This was held on 14th January 2010 at the MAB Hall. 7 students who received the award from MAB were:-
- Wong Shin Yee for UPSR with RM200.00.
- Ahmad Shahide for PMR with RM300.00.
- Norirfan Razali for SPM with RM400.00.
- Noraisyatul Radiah for STPM with RM500.00.
- Lim Tien Hong for B.A. (Hons) in Economic with RM2,000.00.
- Amy Lim Mei Huey for Masters in Human Resource Management with RM2,500.00.
- Dr. Ahmad Kamal Arifin for Ph.D. in History with RM3,000.00.
Announcement 3: English Lessons for Ex-Trainees and Blind Workers
The MAB Job Placement Unit is providing english lessons every Wednesday from 2.00 – 4.00 pm under the guidance of a qualified english language teacher. The lessons are free of charge. Those interested, please contact Ms. Jacqueline at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 175.
Announcement 4: Workshop on the Use of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
The workshop will be from 6 – 7 February 2010 at the ICT Unit in Kompleks MAB. The fee is RM50.00 only. For registration, please contact En. Fazlin at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 145 before 30th January.
Announcement 5: Update of Auction Sales Elderly Blind Club 12th December 2009
Apologies for the delay. We are happy to inform you that 25 gifts were received from members for the auction sales. The proceeds from the sales amounted to RM400.00. Only 1 gift was unsold, the electronic foot massager. It has been placed in the Elderly Blind Center for use by members.
Announcement 6: Third Term Conference by Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat
This will be held from 20 – 21 February 2010 at the MAB Canteen of Kompleks MAB. The first day will be from 12.00 noon – 2.00 pm and the second day from 8.00 am – 2.00 pm. For further details, please contact Pn. Nurul at tel. 013 3979 928 or the office at tel. 03 9221 1440.
Announcement 7: Mandarin Sing Along
This will be on Monday, 1st February 2010 (which is KL City Day) from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm at the Elderly Blind Center. An extra hour from 1.00 – 2.00 pm can be extended for those interested in individual singing. Registration fee is RM1.00 only. Please register with Mr. Lai Kok Keong at tel. 03 2274 2576.
Announcement 8: English Audio Book
Here are 5 new english audio books in the MAB Library. The titles are:-
- Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell.
- Nine Jewels by Lydia Kristanto.
- Patriot Games by Tom Clancy.
- The Narrow Corner by Somerset Maugham.
- Nightmare in Pink by John F. Mc Donald.
