Here are eight announcements.
Announcement 1: KL Sentral Launching of Website for the Brickfields Community
This will be on Tuesdad can register with Ms. Iris Wong or Cik Faridah at tel. 03 2730 2003 or 03 2730 2042.
Announcement 2: Eldery, 26th August at 3.00 pm in the YMCA Hall. Blind people wishing to attenly Blind Gathering
This will be on Saturday, 30th August at 11.00 am. There will be lotto in the cafetaria at 9.00 am and En. Taslim is in charge. The fee is RM4.00 for members and RM5.00 for non-members. Please register with Ms. Rani at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 154.
Announcement 3: “Ambang Merdeka 2008”
Merdeka eve celebration organised by the MAB Youth Club on Saturday, 30th August at 8.00 pm in the MAB Hall. The program include patriotic song contest, patriotic costume, lucky draw and countdown at 12.00 midnight. All are welcome to participate and witness the celebration.
Announcement 4: Health Awareness Talk
This will be at the Elderly Blind Centre on Saturday, 30th August. The title is “The Secret of Success”. You are welcome to bring friends both blind and sighted. Registration fee is RM2.00 only. Please contact Ms. Patricia Lee at tel. 012 675 3844.
Announcement 5: Employment Information Form
This form has been prepared by JKM and is available at the MAB, Job Placement Unit. The objective of the form is to enable JKM to develop a data base on employment opportunities for the blind. All the blind are encouraged to fill up this form and to be returned before Saturday, 30th August. For further information, please contact Pn. Jamilah at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 173.
Announcement 6: Mandarin Sing-Along
This will be on Monday, 1st September at 10.00 am at the Elderly Blind Centre. The fee is RM1.00 only. Please register with Mr. Lai Kok Kiong at tel. 03 2274 2576.
Announcement 7: AGM of Tandem Club
This will be on Saturday, 13th September at 5.00 pm at the MAB Hall. For further information, please contact En. Fairuz at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 136.
Announcement 8: Marriage Counseling Workshop
This will be on Saturday and Sunday, 1st and 2nd November at the MAB Hall. Married and unmarried blind couples and their children who are about to get married are cordially invited to attend. It is free of charge. Topics will include expectations in marriage, solving conflicts, financial planning, sexual intimacy, and spiritual development according to respective religions.
