Here are eight announcements.
Announcement 1: Tandem and Wheel Chair Expedition
This is a collaborative activity of KRSCAP and the Wheelchair Sports Association of Selangor and KL on Saturday, 23rd August in Putrajaya. If you wish to be a tandem rider, please contact Pn. Noor Hazira Mohd Noor at tel. 012 354 5217. Priority for members only.
Announcement 2: 6th AGM of KRM
This will be on Sunday, 31st August. The fee is RM3.00 for members. Membership fee should be settled before the AGM. For further information, please contact En. Mohd Yusof Abdullah at tel. 013 340 4406.
Announcement 3: Health Awareness Talk
This will be at the Elderly Blind Centre on Saturday, 30th August. The title is “The Secret of Success”. You are welcome to bring friends both blind and sighted. Registration fee is RM2.00 only. Please contact Ms. Patricia Lee at tel. 012 675 3844.
Announcement 4: Elderly Blind Gathering
This will be on Saturday, 30th August at 11.00 am. There will be lotto in the cafetaria at 9.00 am and En. Taslim is in charge. The fee is RM4.00 for members and RM5.00 for non-members. Please register with Ms. Rani at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 154.
Announcement 5: Elderly Blind Club
For the dominoes competition on 30th July, 12 persons took part and the winners were Zainal, Aminah and Zarabi. For the month of August, the focus will be on draughts with a competition on the last Wednesday and token cash prizes. For clarifications, please contact Mr. K.K. Goh at tel. 03 9221 9490.
Announcement 6: Mandarin Sing-Along
This will be on Monday, 1st September at 10.00 am at the Elderly Blind Centre. The fee is RM1.00 only. Please register with Mr. Lai Kok Kiong at tel. 03 2274 2576.
Announcement 7: Carnival For The Disabled
This will be on Sunday, 24th August from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm at the Masjid Salehuddin Al-Ayyubi, Gombak organised by Jabatan Agama Islam, W. Persekutuan (JAWI). Activities will include the azan competition for men, Al-Fatihah reading for ladies, quiz, elocution contest and telematch for children. There will also be a lucky draw. Announcement 8: Braille Magazines and Audio Books
The library has received new braille magazines – National Geographic, July edition and Reader’s Digest, August edition. Here are 10 new audio books. The titles are:-
