Hello ladies and gentlemen.
Here are seven announcements.
Announcement 1: Methodist College Treasure Hunt
This will be on Saturday, 26th July from 9.00 am – 1.00 pm. All those who have given their names should assemble at the Kompleks MAB at 7.45 am so that volunteers can bring you to the Methodist College for registration. Registration fee is RM10.00 per head.
Please note that the 3 low vision persons who cannot read braille will have to join the normal category. However, you need to pay only RM10.00 for registration fee and you can ask your volunteer to help read the riddles in print. Announcement 2: Clinic Kayak
The MAB Youth Club will be organising a clinic kayak on Saturday, 2nd August from 2.00 – 6.00 pm and Sunday, 3rd August from 9.00 am – 6.00 pm at the Varsiti Lake, University Malaya. Only 24 places are available for the clinic i.e. 12 blind and 12 escorts. Those who knows swimming will be an advantage for selection. Registration forms are available at the MAB reception counter. Announcement 3: Course by MAB ICT Unit
Three courses will be held as follows:-
- Using the skype and MSN messenger with JAWS – Monday, 4th August.
- Using web based e-mail – Tuesday, 5th August.
- Advanced web browsing and basics of web development using html – Monday to Friday, 11 – 15 August.

Announcement 4: Dominoes Competition
This will be held at the Elderly Blind Centre on the last Wednesday, 30th July from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon. Token cash prizes will be won. For detail, please contact Mr. K.K. Goh at tel. 03 9221 9490.
Announcement 5: Festive Hampers For The Needy Blind
Blind persons who are eligible to receive festive hampers from MAB, please fill in the required form. The forms are available at the reception counter. The closing date is 31st July.
Announcement 6: Physical Education Instructor From Japan
Ms. Kanae Kosuda, a 22 year old university graduate from Japan, has been assigned by JICA to the MAB Sports Department for one year with effect from 14th July 2008. Her main focus will be on developing physical education activities among the blind in MAB, government schools and other programs. For more information, please contact En. Announcement 7: Braille Magazines
The library has received new braille magazines – Spectrum and National Geographic, June edition and Braille Monitor, July edition. Reader’s Digest for May is now available on cassette and CD.
