Hello ladies and gentlemen.
Here are seven announcements.
Announcement 1: Access Card System
This system has been introduced at the MAB headquarters since the beginning of May 2008. Blind clients who need to meet with our staff are advised to first contact them through the receptionist or by phone.
The main purpose of this system is to ensure security for everyone at the Kompleks and to prevent theft or undesirable elements misusing the place. Some inconvenience may be caused but we hope you will understand.
Announcement 2: Cyber Cafe
Cyber Cafe will be closed from 2 – 8 June as it will be used for the Web Accessibility Training Workshop for Asean countries. We apologized for the inconvenience caused. For more information, please contact En. Fazlin at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 144.
Announcement 3: MAB Charity Dinner Concert
This will be held on Sunday, 29th June from 7.30 – 11.30 pm at the Legend Hotel. Invitations will be by donation of tables. Zainal Abidin, the popular entertainer, will be performing. For further details, please contact Ms. Theresa at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 118.
Announcement 4: GTC Certificate Presentation Ceremony
This was held on 29th May at the MAB Hall. 20 trainees received their graduation certificates as follows:
- Five for massage and reflexology, including theory for the first time.
- Seven for the administrative assistance course, formerly the telephony course.
- Eight for the pre-university course.
Zarina bt Aziz was presented with the best blind trainee award for the first half of 2008.
Announcement 5: Item Found
A white cane has been found at KL Central. If you are the owner of the cane, please contact Mr. Liong Teck Yau at tel. 013 304 3552.
Announcement 6: Braille Magazines
The library has received new braille magazines – Reader’s Digest and Spectrum May 2008. A copy of Spectrum is available at the Elderly Blind Centre.
Announcement 7: New English Audio Books
Here are new English audio books. The titles are:
